Update: Life

It's interesting the stuff you learn from people. Like a priest telling you, "Everything is going to be okay. There is nothing that can't be undone here."

Life is going well as of late. A huge weight has been lifted, and I can breathe again. Everything that Father Roy told me was so calming, and I'm so glad that my Dad had me go talk to him. He made me realize that this is my decision, and in his eyes, he feels that I made the best decision. I left his office, eyes red and blotchy, nose sniffly, but with a little skip in my step, because I'm going to be okay. I really am.

I've Graduated. Have a business. Am Self sufficient. I am true to myself. I made a decision that people disagreed with, but stood my ground. And came out the other side still me. Still with my faith, love for life, and own personal interests.

I am not someone who goes to the bar. I am not someone who likes to drink, and party and jump from guy to guy to guy. I like to be me. I like to take pictures. I like to take walks with my dog. I really love my dog. He is like my son. I like to dress him up. And play fun little games with him. I have photo anxiety, where I feel I may never see that again, and I have to stop and take a picture. I enjoy music. And dancing like a dork in the kitchen. I enjoy sunsets. I love lazy Sundays, watching tv shows that I missed throughout the week. I LOVE slurpees. I like to bake. I like to cook. I like to try new recipes. I love to laugh. And I like when people like everything that I've just described. And like to do all these things with me.

I made this cupcake the other day... Isn't it tasty looking? Its bavarian cream filled, and all kinds of delicious. :-) Happy Monday!!

hm.

I feel weird. Oh so very weird in fact. Like... I have oil on my hands...

...when someone tells you that they were really hoping that they would see someone... and that someone wasn't you...

... especially when you used to be that persons best friend...

...I have a pretty sister...

Inspiration

So while in Chicago visiting my sister, she introduced me to a new show that I most definitely would enjoy. Work of Art: The Next Great Artist on Bravo... I was extremely tired of course and only watched half of the episode, but when I got home I decided to watch the entire season from the beginning. Not really a fan of reality tv, I was a little skeptical as to how much I would actually like it. But 2 days and 10 episodes later... I was in Love. Of course with the exception of the fact that they call the "critique" a "crit" and I cringed every time I heard it.

With some new found inspiration to make art, I decided I would finally start to organize my extra bedroom. Along with a couple other art projects... I took a trip to Michaels and bought some canvases... Now, Just to find time to paint. grr.

So, in addition to my household projects, I decided that I would finally update my moms blog as well... she said she wanted something a little cooler... so... POOF...

...instant cool. I loved that picture when I took it in Kentucky... and so I decided to give her a little happy Colorful Day...

Of course, as I'm sure you've already noticed, I, too have updated my blogs image... Thanks to Jennifer for taking such a pretty picture of me. Love you sista.

So anyway... took some pictures of my little Jack saw... We went for a little nature hike, seeing as Jack doesn't get out in nature too often, and Boy oh Boy did he love it... He was like a kid in a candy store... running up hills, jumping in puddles, running through tall grass. It was awesome. Of course all the little picky pods that were stuck to him after and how incredibly muddy he was, was a bit of a let down... but hey. He had fun!

blah.

So mentally drained as of late. But it was nice to get a phone call and have someone tell me I'm an essential part of something. Not feeling like I'm replaceable...

Celebrated my 23rd b-day and made the most of it. Had an "Ultimate Bake-Off" and even made homemade fondant. Received some really nice gifts, one in particular I am really happy about... An actual Gelatin Print from the Ansel Adams collection. Moonrise Hernandez, which is my absolute favorite photograph of all time. Its currently hanging in my living room.
In typical Jordanne fashion though, we celebrated not once, not twice, but actually four times this year.

One of those times, was in Chicago with my wonderful sister and brother. I really had a good time... was able to go shopping, and go to the beach. We watched Patrick play volleyball, and laid by the pool for hours. We even went to the Lincoln Park Zoo... it was so much fun.
The sunset from their balcony.

AH!

It's all happening so fast...

So, on July 9, 2010... I shot my very first wedding. Although I was EXTREMELY nervous, I sucked it up, put my big girl panties on... and ROCKED IT.

It was so much fun, and Christina & Tyler were a dream to work with!!

It was love at first click. So, in my attempts to go "PRO"... I decided that I would need a way to get myself out there, and there is no better way than to have a website. Well... my thought was actually this... for right now, a website is nice, but I need something that I can update daily, with ease, so potential clients can keep up-to-date with what I'm doing. A website is a nice place to showcase what I've done, but a photoblog is a new and innovative way to keep in contact with people, so they can know what is going on, and what I am working on at the moment.

So ladies and gentlemen...

www.jordannemarie.com/blog

I'm not quite sure how I managed to figure this all out... but I DID! and couldn't be happier!

This blog of course will still be used for my personal use... like... talking about how i need to post pics of my new place... because i'm trying to finally get my stuff settled in.

I suppose that is all for now... I have to work in the morning... then it will be back to editting for this girl.
